The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam has released the stray vacancy round merit list for NEET PG 2025 admissions to MD and MS courses under the state quota. Candidates who have secured seats in this round have been directed to report to their allotted medical colleges between February 27 and February 28 to complete the admission process.
According to official information, a total of 190 candidates have been shortlisted in the stray round. The category-wise distribution includes 21 candidates from the ST (Plains) category, eight from ST (Hills), and 41 under the State Health Quota, while no candidate was selected under the PwD category.
The merit list has been published on the official website of DME Assam. Among the available specialities, MD Community Medicine emerged as the most preferred choice of candidates, with Gauhati Medical College receiving the highest institutional preference.
Selected candidates must carry all required original documents at the time of reporting, including the NEET PG admit card and scorecard, MBBS degree certificate, mark sheets, valid photo identification, and applicable domicile or reservation certificates.
As per the state’s PG medical admission guidelines, admitted candidates are also required to execute a registered bond on ₹100 stamp paper within two weeks of joining. Officials have cautioned that failure to report within the stipulated deadline will result in cancellation of the allotted seat.
