Narendra Modi bats for BJP hat-trick in Assam, flags ‘dangerous conspiracy’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday exuded confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will secure a third consecutive term in Assam, while warning of a “dangerous conspiracy” aimed at destabilising the state.
Addressing an election rally at Gogamukh in Dhemaji district, the Prime Minister said the people of Assam have made up their minds to return the BJP to power, asserting that a “hat-trick” for the party is certain in the upcoming Assembly elections.
Highlighting the BJP-led government’s performance, Modi pointed to welfare initiatives and development programmes implemented over the past years. He said schemes focused on housing, education, and women’s empowerment have significantly improved the lives of people across the state.
The Prime Minister also referred to the party’s election manifesto, describing it as a roadmap for accelerated development and inclusive growth in Assam.
In a sharp political remark, Modi cautioned voters about what he termed a “dangerous conspiracy” by certain forces, alleging attempts to create instability and hinder the state’s progress. However, he did not elaborate on the specifics of the claim.
The rally marked an important push in the BJP’s campaign as political activities intensify ahead of the Assembly elections. Senior party leaders have been actively touring the state, expressing confidence in retaining power for a third term.
The upcoming elections are expected to witness a keen contest, with major political parties stepping up campaigns across Assam.
