The Centre has assured that there is no disruption in fuel supplies across the country. Officials stated that India has adequate reserves of petrol, diesel, and LPG, supported by strong refining capacity and steady crude oil shipments despite global uncertainties.

In Assam, district administrations carried out on-ground inspections of fuel outlets, particularly in Guwahati and nearby regions, to verify stock levels. Officials confirmed that petrol pumps have sufficient supplies and that the situation remains under control. The state government has also coordinated closely with oil marketing companies to ensure uninterrupted distribution.
West Bengal authorities issued similar reassurances, urging citizens not to engage in panic buying. Officials warned that hoarding and spreading misinformation could lead to unnecessary disruption in supply chains.

To maintain smooth fuel availability, governments have taken several measures, including monitoring petrol pumps, ensuring smooth movement of fuel tankers, and keeping strict vigil against rumour-mongering.
