Microblading, a popular cosmetic procedure enhance eyebrow appearance, has taken distressing for two women, both 33 years old, developed a serious lungs disease called systemic sarcoidosis and toimmune disease characterized by the formation of granulomas, impact of lungs, making breathing difficulties. Microblading is a popular technique that uses tattooing to create the appearance of thicker eyebrows

Both the women went for undertreatment discovering "orange red patches" on their eyebrow, one women had the procedure  a year prior. Biopsies confirmed sarcoidosis in both cases, with chest x-rays revealing it presence in their lungs and lymph nodes.

Sarcoidosis can be triggered by factors like pesticides, irritants and moulds.Genetic predisposition maay also play a role leading to an overactive immune response that attacks the body, there is no cure symptoms can be managed with medication.

Both women  responded well to treatment, the treatment for the affected women involved with steroids therapy. Sarcoidosis very depending on the affected areas, ranging from skin rashes to breathlessness and swallon glands.


 Patients should be made fully aware of this risk before undergoing the procedure, even though  this appears rare side effects.
